applesoldier actually knew about the quad core. he was comparing similar specs to prove that alienware was more overpriced than apple but he pretty much owned himself in doing so.
@svtcontour lol I was cleaning my inbox when I came across this
I agree with that but you can’t find diy laptops or even if you can those cases aren’t as good as a mac one is
I so agree with this vid. I got an HP Pavilion dv7 with i7, 6 gigs of ram, and 640GB HDD w/ NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M, maybe not what a gamer wants, but lets game on a Macbook! It was $1,400.
i hate AppleSoldier. he needs to get his ass kicked. he gives mac users a bad name and im not even pro mac. a good friend of mine basicly converted to the “ilife”, (iphone, ipod, macbook pro, etc…) she will be missed in the pc world :-p
-you cant even spell “site” correctly as in a webSITE”
-You failed to comprehend that when I say in the video “I decided to do my own compare on laptops” that I’m not following AppleSoldier’s path. Thats why its MY comparision. If I use Alienware, then that would be HIS comparision.
geez, ok, first point, 2.6GHZ-2.9GHZ will be CHEAPER than 2.4GHZ – 2.9GHz, Yes, u were reading it right, NO U WERE NOT BRAIN THINKING RIGHT.
points 2: Im sorry, but the GTX 260, owns the GPU ur talking about. (ALSO, p.s. SOME GAMES NEED DX10 SUPPORt, OR DX9, OR NOW, DX11. (OPENGL SUCKS)
SLI, is better than u
point 3: with the ram, we go back to ur STUPID MATH!
point 4: the mac 32gb is 5400 RPM, the alienware is 7200RPM
point 5: IT IS NOT EXACT U FAG
point 6: U KNOW SHIT, NOTHING about computers.
well the applesoldier piece of shit FAILS: i posted a LONG comment for him to read, but i cannot post it as it will take a whole post, but if u look above this, u will see it
Anyway. we had a solid debate on Mac vs PC I thinks Its just what we want and what we are comfortable with.
I have 2 Macs and 1 PC Rig for Games. The best part in PCs is making them. I custom built 15 CPU PC and windows 2000 with very low cost for contributing CPU power to SETI.
“but for me personally having used both I guess I’m still happier with a PC and Windows”
What i meant is extensive use of OSs. Almost every body in the world have to use Windows for work and with friends, Software etc.
Macs on other side is completely new evolution. The way Mac,iLife, iPod, iPhones are used are different. What they have in common is integration, data access across products and more.
If Apple wants it can sell 10 times more iPhone than it did. Many people fail to understand
The notebook was not that expensive and was quite small at the time. It was a 12.1″ screen and the notebook weight 3.2lbs with the standard battery. The extended battery was $150.
On PCs, e-sata is becoming the way to go for high speed external devices such as drives. The low speed devices are fine as USB. Many newer digital cameras also offer a USB interface so its not an issue like the old days I guess Not that its much of an issue because many PCs sold have at least firewire 400.
It is true that many windows users have not used Macs but for me personally having used both I guess I’m still happier with a PC and Windows. Although I’m sure I’m not the typical user since DIY type machines probably account for a small segment of the PC market share but thats the draw for me.
Anyway I guess thats it then. Well its been a good debate and in the end, its impossible to say which is better because it boils down the the user and their needs and wants I guess.
Asus M12 with the optional battery could go 12 hours
- Thats great to have 12 hr battery. How much does it cost.? Apple tried to achieve 8 Hours this same laptop size less than 1 inch thick.
In the video the price comparison was about the Macbook pro equivalent PC and price. I’m sure 12 hr battery costs more.
-Firwire is used on PCs
USB is more commonly used than a firewire or ilink
-I said Apple had 9 years to gain significant marketshare and failed
Right. Its not easy to convince people.
…but these discussions are kind of meaningless because
1. Neither myself or my friends in the computer and networking field own or want to own a Mac. We prefer to build our own.
2. Reliability is not a concern because even my Dual Pentium Pro 200Mhz system from 1996 still runs. I’ve had zero failures on my personal machines and there have been quite a few.
3. Win2k, XP and Vista have been rock solid for me so why change. I dont even run AV and have not since XP SP2 came out…
