That was my first laptop actually. It was too laggy in my honest opinion (single core processor = bad for multitasking), however it is great that the BIOS contained a copy of Windows XP. My specs were a bit higher than yours though. I have moved away from using Lenovo and IBM since they are difficult to take care of (properly), and moving away from Dell to Apple (since I tested out my friend’s Macbook Air which outperforms my Dell despite my Dell has higher specs) I <3 laptops.
right now i am using ibm thinkpad r 40 . i bought it in 2004 and it is till working like a new laptop.
it has 256 mb ram , 32gb, 1.4 ghz. all the other laptops suck in front of thinkpad. thinkpad is about durability and good service . any one who has got brains would select thinkpad. i am going to buy a new laptop after a few months and it would be again a thinkpad:D awesome service , rough and tough.
I do not want to be ignorant and say the Notebook is poorly set up because it is set up nicely, the fact is that the would have most likely sold many more if they had made the Notebook more visually appealing. In my opinion it is hideous.
ThinkPads are very solidly built. You would have to work very hard to destroy them. I have a ThinkPad T30 with 1.6 Ghz CPU and 1GB RAM. A lot faster and more powerful than my old A22m. And before the recommendations arise that I need a more powerful laptop, I don’t. My T30 does everything I want (except my homework, that’s what it can’t do.:(), and I plan on getting an X300 but not until I can get it on Ebay for less than 500 bucks. Long time to wait, I know.
I prefer the design of the thinkpad over the macbook air.
even though they have thinned it down, thinkpads look like tanks compared to the macbook airs which look like some really sleek feminine object like an LV purse or a tampon like tampax pearl
How come ugnly – this is a way nicer and business-like lookong than the Mc book air – Lenovo is the classy thing – the High-classy thing!!!And it has it all!!!
