built-in graphics tablet is very useful to draw mind maps, this ThinkPad run 101% no problem with Linux ?

What is your wireless card? I got a linksys dual band N wireless card Express card. The wireless card installed into the motherboard of the lenovo w700 is the atheros 11b/g wireless card. Should there be any performance difference between a wireless card that is in express card slot and one that is built into the motherboard?

well i did but i didnt get the intel my wifi wireless N card and instead got the b/g…i hope it wont negatively impact me too much

because they’re better than Apple. They (lenovo) actually sell a real product and don’t rely on marketing and “cool” design to sell an overpriced machine. Unlike you, they don’t care about status or if they cute mac matches their purse.

I don’t mean to be rude, but how come you engineers/designers at Lenovo can’t make a seamless laptop? Something like that of an Apple product.

1 more thing: If I use the machine with the display turned all the way up (400 nits) I get right at 2 hrs of life.When I need to extend the life I will run the brightness at 1/2 (200 nits which is about the same as full bright on a normal machine!)… in this mode I can get 3.5 hrs from the machine (doing email, powerpoint, running on WLAN). I’ve never tried to run the CPU/GPU at full speed with the battery.. in this mode I would expect 1.5 hrs of life but I think this is a very rare.

I believe the battery life is around 2 hours depending on usage. I’m almost suprised it even comes with a batter based on the demands that are place on this system. Not only do we give you a battery, it wil approach the 2 hour mark give or take.

It’s CF Card Reader is stuffed. Set at 1MB/s read or write! I cannot overcome this problem… and I did some research that it seems to be a problem at its PCB in regards to the CF card reader… what a pitty…
