@like2bike85 Check your TV manual to figure out how to change the display. If you don’t have your booklet, you should be able to find it on the company website. Sometimes it may be the computer settings and you will need to change the display options so it fits the screen.
hey I have a an hp laptop with hdmi port and Lg HDTV with hdmi port I plugged the hdmi cable from laptop to tv and the display comes on and what not but the screen on the tv isn’t full size. I have settings on duplicate for display as well.On TV, the screen is centralized and surrounded by a black frame?Any way to make tv full screen like laptop? THX

@TheKingjustin92 The only way you will know is to try it. If you purchase special cables, save your receipt on the chance that it may not work. This will not work with all analog TV’s. It should work with the new flat panel TV’s.
@hunnybakedgoodness i *think* you could try a 7 prong s video with the rca inputs (yellow red white) on the other end.. atleast that is what i’m going to try myself asap..
@hunnybakedgoodness There are so many different types of connections, that you will have to research to see if one has been made for what you have available.
i have a laptop with a s video port with a 7 prong out put and a tv with a 4 prong out put and the the s video cable is 4 prong would it still work? or am i fucked?
But when I first tried this before I saw your video, my laptop never picked up my Phillips or Emerson TV. Should I preset my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop to something?
I have been following you with knitting, I just stumbled across this and you’re doing this also. You are great!! You make everything so very easy. Even better I’m using the same type laptop you are. Keep up the excellent work.
@alpena1wheeler The S-video will be all you need for a video connection. Sound does not come through the S-video so you will need to connect with some computer speaker or the sound will be from the laptop speakers.
